Dr. Alex Kevill joined Leeds University Business School in 2017. An author of a range of book chapters and several publications in internationally renowned journals, Dr. Kevill was awarded the 2021 best paper prize by the International Small Business Journal. Additionally, Dr. Kevill serves as an associate editor for the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and was editor for a special issue of the journal that focused on entrepreneurship amongst socially excluded individuals and communities. Dr. Kevill is also a member of the editorial board for the International Small Business Journal.
Dr. Kevill’s research interests are diverse, encompassing family entrepreneurship, dynamic capabilities in entrepreneurial firms, and the interconnection between affect, well-being, and entrepreneurial endeavours. He is also interested in how innovative qualitative research methods can advance entrepreneurship research. Dr. Kevill recently completed a research project funded through a BA Leverhulme Small Research Grant.
In addition to his research, Dr. Kevill is dedicated to teaching enterprise and entrepreneurship at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also supervises doctoral students and dissertation students, and provides practical advice to student start up enterprises.
